The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are actually open and may shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home having a combined gross household earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic cash flow isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically website qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the right Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or intend to study at nsfas check a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to my nsfas wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
